1 - The percentage of paper recycling in EU is around 55% .

2 - Kraft paper is easily reused and has a fiber content similar to pulp paper .

3 - The percentage of plastic recycling in EU is around 15% ( In all EU with exception of Germany , Austria , Belgium and Sweden ) .

4 - Reasons for low recycling percentage of plastic are :

  > Plastic separation for recycling purpose is expensive .

  > Plastic has different forms , which can not be mixed for recycling purposes .

  > New plastic could be cheaper than recycled plastic .

  > Some plastics are not easily cleaned .

5 - This low recycling percentage is very harmful to the environment .
